What Causes Fat On Eyelids

Santa Maria del Monte (VA) - The village religious

Santa Maria del Monte

Santa Maria del Monte is a place of faith and Marian devotion that has its roots in centuries long gone. Historical records are the most important sanctuary and the monastery of the cloistered Romite Ambrosiane the order of Saint Ambrose to Nemus and the rule of St. Augustine. So we are faced with a place of sacred art and faith before then. The two factors give rise to a spiritual history that has brought fame to the village now well known beyond the borders of Lombardy.
should operate, from the above, a jump of a few centuries to understand the rise of the still active monastery.

Towards the beginning of 1400 Varese is a town of merchants in what was once the Peasantry of Seprio: forced and important point of passage for those carrying the various wares on carts, from the Center Europe in Milan and the sea.
The area is full of healthy and gentle green valleys, clear lakes and calm rivers. The mountain above Varese, rich in vegetation, air, oxygen and natural ravines, sees the arrival of hermits who wish to live in prayer and meditation.

arise early hermitages. In 1452 came a young woman, Catherine of Pallanza Moriggi, Municipality of Verbania (Lake Maggiore - Piedmont side) who retires to devote his life to prayer and praise of Jesus Crucified.
Then comes another young man on the mountain, devoted to Mary, Giuliana Puricelli Verghera, Samarate common now in the province of Varese. The two young men decide to live together and pray. There's other companions: the early years are difficult and all put a strain on their faith. The cold winter, summer drought and penance daily fortify their spirit.
began the mountain a wonderful season which begins the spiritual Monastery. Catherine was the first Abbess of the Monastery: died April 6, 1478. Juliana died August 15, 1501, both for the sanctity of life and the miracles performed were beatified Sept. 16, 1769 by Pope Clement XIV.

Campanile

Currently the relics in urns of Romite Beate are in a side chapel of the Sanctuary and are visible to the people and the Romite through a grate in the monastery.
Time passes: the Sanctuary of Santa Maria del Monte is enlarged, the monastery is populated more and more.
